Reena is proud to share that COO Sandy Stemp and Director, Programs and Supports Tracey Berman are co-authors of a new peer-reviewed article, What Guides Organizations’ Current Dementia-Related Practices Across Four Canadian Provinces?
This first-of-its-kind Canadian study surveyed 125 organizations to understand how services are supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who may be experiencing dementia. Key findings show significant gaps in awareness of dementia guidelines, inconsistent use of early detection tools, and a strong need for more training and resources across the sector.
