Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Reena! Volunteers are important to Reena.
Reena is a non-profit organization that promotes dignity, individuality, independence, personal growth and community inclusion for people with diverse abilities within a framework of Jewish culture and values.
Please complete and submit this form and email your resume to volunteering@reena.org – we will contact you to discuss next steps.
Please note: Volunteer positions non-paid, are located within Toronto and York Region
** Do not send us or apply for any documentation prior to interview – we will advise you when to submit anything other than this form and a resume.
Becoming a Volunteer at Reena is a multi-step process which includes:
- Submission of this Volunteer Interest Form & resume
- Pre-Screen Phone Call
- Interview (virtual or in-person)
Following a successful interview, potential volunteers will be asked to provide:
- Parental Consent Form if under 18
- Proof of COVID Vaccination – Volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses minimum)
- References – 1 Personal & 1 Professional (or, 2 personal & 1 professional if you are under 18 years old)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (if over the age of 18) – Reena will provide instructions and needed documentation
If accepted as a Reena Volunteer, you will be required to complete several requirements before volunteering:
- Orientation/training (virtual or in-person)
- Review, sign and adhere to Reena’s Policies & Procedures
- Online training courses: AODA, The Human Rights Code and the AODA, Quality Assurance Measures (required for some positions)
- References – local to Toronto and Greater Toronto Area -who have know you for at least 6 months – 1 personal (or 2 if under 18) and 1 professional
- Vulnerable Sector Check if you are 18 years of age and over through your local police department – Supporting documents will be provided – DO NOT APPLY UNTIL WE INSTRUCTED TO DO SO
- Parental Consent Form if under 18
- Proof of at least 3 Covid-19 vaccinations
